Currituck County, NC – Tucked away on a vast secluded beach where the deep rooted wild Spanish Mustangs roam, Carova beach is one of North Carolina’s flawless, hidden treasures. The February 2014 issue of Coastal Living magazine names the Northern Outer Banks beaches was the Reader’s Choice for favorite beach by the readers of the Daily Catch Online Poll.
Twenty beaches were selected by editors of Coastal Living magazine to compete for the number one spot. Coastal Living readers were able to vote for their favorite beach. Carova was in good company with beaches competing as far away as Kaanapali Beach, Maui, Hawaii to Siasconset Beach, Nantucket. The list of choices also included Coronado Beach, San Diego, CA and Smathers Beach, Key West, FL. Carova beach in the Currituck Outer Banks came out on top.
Carova’s pristine beaches span eleven miles in the most northeastern tip of North Carolina. The area is rich in nature with its high dunes, sea grasses and multitudes of species living in serenity on the land. Spectacular sunsets, as well as sunrises, can be seen in Carova as the land spans from ocean to sound. This area is both picturesque and unique as it is only accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicles. Celebrated for its secluded, wide beaches, it is where the most renowned locals are the beautiful, four-legged creatures that roam freely and live off the land, the wild Spanish mustangs.
With 10 issues published each year and a circulation of 650,000 magazines, Coastal Living introduces readers to homes, destinations, activities and people along the Atlantic, Pacific and Gulf shores of North America, Hawaii, Alaska, coastal Canada and Mexico, as well as the multi-national Caribbean islands and U.S. Great Lakes, are included in the scope. The magazine celebrates the beauty of amazing coastal towns and is filled with interesting pictures, articles and trends.
